Admin history
Henry Cyril Casserley (1903-1991) was born in London, and worked for Prudential Assurance until retirement in 1964, after which he wrote several illustrated railway books. He is well known as a railway photographer, but also photographed windmills and other features, between 1919 and the end of steam on main line railways in 1968. In 1939 he moved to Berkhamsted, on the Grand Union Canal, and photographed boats on the Canal there just before nationalisation.
