Description
Chain survey of canal from junction with main line at Norton to Leicester, and arms to Welford and Market Harborough. Measured with steel band along towing path at water edge by T W Millner. Recording district or parish, works, distance, description, locks, bridges. Found in back of volume - sheets recording chainage on north Leicester section from Norton Junction for Grand Union Canal Company; also sheet titled "Numbering of Locks" giving name of lock, section and number.
