System of arrangement
This subseries has been arranged into six subsubseries due to the nature and number of records. General plans of the warehouses and sheds have been placed first, followed by plans of the basin walls, roof, doors and windows, and columns. Oil vaults have been arranged after this, with cranes and machinery being placed at the end. Within each subsubseries the records have been arranged chronologically, except where plans relate to each other, in which case they have been kept together, slightly altering the chronological sequence.
