Diversion at Stoke on Trent on the Trent and Mersey Canal
Description
Black and white photograph showing a new section of the canal with a newly built concrete bridge, there is a tesco van on the bridge. There are industrial buildings and a crane in the background.
November 2018 - information received suggests that the image shows a new bridge at the junction of Liverpool Road and Stoke Road interchange, with the Queensway A500 being constructed on the right. Etruria Gas Works can be seen in the background, and to the extreme right is Stoke Railway Station with waggons in the sidings.
