British Waterways narrowboats and boat people at the top of Anderton Lift on the Trent and Mersey Canal
Description
Black and white photograph of the former Fellows, Morton & Clayton Limited motor 'Cypress' and the butty "Aberystwyth" (built for B T C). Shows the sterns of the narrowboats, there is a boatman and boatwoman on "Aberystwyth". The cabin doors of both boats are open and there are decorated with roses and castles, the boats are painted in early British Waterways livery. Part of the lift can be seen in the background.
