British Waterways raising 'Douglas' on the Leigh Branch of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal
Description
Black and white photograph taken looking across the canal, shows several people on boats and on the side of the canal. One of the boats has pumps leading off it into the water, there is a wooden structure on the water which appears to surround the top of a boat, and a diver is climbing out of the water on the left. Industrial buildings and smoking chimneys are visible in the distance.
