Top basin at the Anderton Lift
Description
Black and white photograph taken by Cyril Arapoff of the top basin at the Anderton Lift. Taken from the towpath at the side of the basin, there is a man and a horse walking on the bridge over the canal, with the horse attached to a rope towing a boat, the front of which is visible on the right of the photograph. There is an unidentified working narrowboat next to the bridge.
