General maintenance on the Grand Union Canal
Description
Series of photographs taken at various places along the Grand Union Canal. The images show a variety of engineering and maintenance tasks usual to canals, including dredging and piling. In thirteen of the photographs people and boats are visible, but no numbers or names can be seen. In the other images Harlow has focused on tools and canal structures. Photographs taken by C F Harlow. Photographs in both black and white and sepia.
