Description

Report by Robert Whitworth to the "Honourable the Committee for Canal Navigation of the City of London" on the route of the proposed canal and estimate of costs; dated 5 October 1793. Also includes two addresses by James Sharp on the benefits of the proposed canal and canals in general; dated 22 December 1773 and 29 January 1794. Two maps are included illustrating the route of the proposed canal.
