Administrative / Biographical history

The Sleaford Navigation Trust, formerly known as the Sleaford Navigation Society, was formed in 1977. It was created as a direct response to the threat of closure to Navigation House, the former company houses in Sleaford. After successful campaigning to prevent this, the trust's attention turned to making as much of the River Slea as navigable as possible.
