Description
Correspondence, drawings and relevant act relating to disputed responsibility for the clearing of a drain called Marbury Brook at Willymore, Cheshire. Chiefly between the agent for Shropshire Union Canal Company at Ellesmere and the Marquis/Lord Cholmondeley but also with other land owners in the area. Details of payments eventually made. There appear to have been two seperate occasions when this was raised - around 1842 and 1863.
includes copy of Enclosure Act for the land in the area and maps of the course of the drain through subsequent years.
