BW92/4/2

Plans of the Warwick and Napton Canal through lands belonging to other people and lands taken by the company

Date

Mid 19th-early 20th century

Reference code

BW92/4/2

System of arrangement

The plans in this subseries have been arranged according to their original document reference numbers. These numbers can also be found in records of the Company of Proprietors of the Warwick and Birmingham Canal Navigation. It is unclear when these numbers were introduced. But it has been established that the letters in the first part of the reference number mean the following: LB is large book, SB is small book, WB is Warwick and Birmingham, WN is Warwick and Napton (Braunston), JN is Birmingham and Warwick Junction. The second letter in the reference refers to the surname of the person/company whose land is the suject of the plan. The number that follows is a running number sequence.
