Extending from London Road (Bank To[p), Manchester, to Whiteland (Dukinfield Bridge), Ashton under Lyne, also the Fairbottom, Hollinwood and Stockport Branches Water features marked; names of landowners/occupiers given; land and buildings belonging to company marked, with deeds and conveyances of land noted and dates of agreements and any rent payable noted; boundaries marked. Title of Acts and canal lengths given at front of volume. Surveyed by Henry Fowler. Signed by the secretary "E. Ross". Embossed on front "Great Central Railway". 13 sheets. Also some inserted typewritten correspondence relating to buildings used by Fire Service during Second World War Extensively annotated with agreements and conveyances up until 1949. Showing names and dates of transfers of property or businesses.
