Description
There is a section of the rise from the canal to the summit or wharf which shows the tunnel or drain for the water from the canal to the Engine Pitt. The line of this tunnel is also shown on the plan of the proposed canal. Endorsed "first plan of Hx Branch Canal 1824". Stamped "Calder and Hebble Navigation".
