Sharpness Old Dock on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal

Description

Views around the old dock area showing the training ship 'Vindicatrix', lighters nos 27, 28, 33 and 34 and other moored in the arm leading to the old tidal basin, coal staithes on the old arm with lighters moored beneath, lock gates at the entrance to the tidal basin and the harbourmasters house alongside the basin. In some of the pictures 'Vindicatrix' can be seen in the near distance with many people on the gangplank, also young men and boys can be seen around the lock gates near the ship..
