Brampton railway lift bridge on the Dearne & Dove Canal at Knoll Beck

Description

Views of the bridge which is lifted by chains slung from a pair of large iron towers, each of which is cast 'South Yorkshire', the bridge was between locks 8 & 9 and carried a single track railway to Cortonwood Colliery just below Elsecar.
