The documents largely cover the period during World War Two and include reports on war damages to Grand Union Canal Company premises in London; documents about government bills including the "Acquisition of Land (Authorisation Procedure) Bill", the "Water Bill" and transport bills; documents on public legislation; on post-war policy; on government control of the waterways; and letters, reports and minutes of Canal Association meetings during this period.
