Description

View of the Leigh branch including a converted horseboat "Princess" and a barge "Ambush" loading coal from a lorry. August 2018 - information received suggests that image BW197-2-23-6-1 is of the 1968 rally of boats to save the flight of locks going down to the River Mersey, a now filled-in section of the canal into Liverpool.
