Lock gates being lifted at the Muirtown Staircase Locks on the Caledonian Canal
Description
Black and white photograph taken from beside the canal, shows the gantry boat lifting 2 lock gates, one over either side. Beside the gantry boat is the steam tug 'Scot I'. The boats are in a lock with Muirtown Basin visible in the distance. There are numerous men on the gantry and beside the canal.
