Thomas Clayton Limited's 'Gifford' and 'Severn' at Oldbury on the Birmingham Canal Navigations
Description
Black and white photograph showing the sterns and cabins of the narrowboats, they are tied together at the side of the canal. Mrs M A Smith is stood by the cabin entrance of 'Gifford', her daughter Violet is stood by the cabin entrance of 'Severn' and there is a man stood further along the cabin. "Gifford" is written on the stern of the boat, with "Thos. Clayton Limited (Oldbury)", "Registered at Daventry No 374" and "No 60" written on the cabin. "Registered at Oldbury No. 14" is written on the cabin of 'Severn'. There are other Thomas Clayton narrowboats in the background.
