Mitchell family boats on the Grand Union Canal

Description

Black and white photograph taken from the stern of a butty [probably 'Lyra'] looking over the hold towards a motor [probably 'Baldock' or 'Hadley'] further along the canal. There is a boatman [likely to be Syd Mitchell] at the tiller of the motor and Eleanor Mitchell is likely to have been on the butty. There is a castle painting visible in the foreground. There are houses and a bridge further along the canal.
