Description
Black and white photograph showing the Minister of Transport, Leslie Burgin, at the stern of the motor narrowboat, there is a man and a boatwoman behind him. Leslie Burgin was Minister of Transport from 1937 to 1939 and this journey, between Apsley Mill and Croxley Mill, was so that he could see at first hand how the John Dickinson company handled canal freight.
