L B Faulkner horse boats and boat people on the Grand Junction Canal
Description
Black and white photograph showing a pair of "L.B. Faulkner Leighton Buzzard" horse drawn narrowboats side by side on the canal, including 'Swan'. The boat in the foreground has "G J 11721" written on the cabin. The boat in the background has a water barrel and a pigeon box with "H Canvin" written on it on the cabin roof, the horse's swingle-tree is on the towing mast. The boat people are 2 men and a woman who is holding a small child, there is also a dog on the cabin. The boats are loaded with tree trunks.
