Easter stoppage at Stoke Bruerne on the Grand Junction Canal
Description
Black and white photograph showing workmen in the emptied canal below the top lock and double bridge. There are wooden barrow runs across trenches dug in the canal bed. The grain mill chimney is visible beyond the double bridge. "Easter 1913 Work in progress below Lock 14 Stoke" is handwritten at the top of the photograph.
