"Boats on our Inland Waterways"
Description
Black and white photographs showing the old and new styles of boats on the Aire and Calder Navigation. The photograph at the top has the tag "Old Style - Keel at Sprotboro' Cut", it shows a keel barge on the canal with a horse and person on the towpath, there is a bridge in the background. The bottom photograph has the tag "New Style. - A. & C. Boats on the Calder.", it shows a tug with a train of boats on the River Calder, there is an aqueduct in the distance.
