Narrowboat 'Minnow' and others at the top of the Anderton Lift on the Trent and Mersey Canal
Description
Black and white photograph looking towards the stern and cabin of the narrowboat, on the cabin is written "British Transport Waterways", "NW Div", "Minnow" and "Registered at Birmingham No 1557". There are other narrowboats visible behind it including 'Perch'. There is a boat woman visible on one of the boats. In the foreground there is a signpost with "Waver Navigation", "Anderton Lift", "British Waterways" and "Trent and Mersey Canal" written on it. The lift can be seen in the background and there are several industrial buildings and chimneys in the distance.
