Narrowboats at the top of the Anderton Lift on the Trent and Mersey Canal
Description
Black and white photograph taken from above the canal, shows several British Waterways boats lined up on the canal including "Turtle", the name is written on the stern with "British Waterways" and "Registered at Birmingham" visible on the cabin. There is a boy stood by the cabin of a narrowboat next to "Turtle". The lift is in the centre of the photograph behind the narrowboats, there are industrial buildings in the background.
