Boat strike at Braunston on the Grand Junction Canal
Description
Black and white photograph taken by T W Millner showing people gathered by the canal during the strike. There are 3 men in the foreground, one of whom is lying on the ground. In the background there are numerous people beside the canal and a "Fellows, Morton & Clayton Ltd" narrowboat called "Speedwell", "No 8", which would have been locked together with others on the canal. [The boat keys were thrown into the canal to stop the police moving the boats]
