Wartime women trainees and a film crew preparing to make a film using narrowboats
Description
Black and white photograph, the narrowboats shown being used are the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company Limited boats "Battersea" (the name, "Reg at Brentford. No 592" and underneath "G. U. C. C. C" and "112" are visible on the cabin) and 'Parvo'. Photograph taken looking down from a canal bridge, there are people stood on the boats and by the side of the canal. July 2017 - information received advises that "Pavo" has been shortened and is now a 61ft long motor boat in private ownership.
