Lady Capel's Wharf with Joseph Phipkin's boat 'Lily of the Valley'
Description
Black and white photograph taken at Lady Capel's Wharf in Watford during winter. Taken looking across the Grand Junction Canal, moored on the canal is Joseph Phipkin's boat 'Lily of the Valley' [Registered 27 February 1875, later renamed 'Frank'] with the master L Jones on board. There are piles of bricks on the wharf and the surroundings are covered in snow.
