Description
Black and white photograph taken by H C Davies [Clerk of Works, British Waterways Thames Lock; 33 St. Johns Road, Welling, Kent] showing a general view of the Thames Lock at Brentford on the Grand Union Canal. Taken from overhead, there are several boats on the canal, including one on the left of the photograph that has "Thames steam tug & lightbrage..." written on the side. There are numerous warehouses and trucks by the canal on the left of the photograph and numerous buildings, including a large tower, are visible in the distance.
