Black and white photograph of the entrance channel at the top of the incline, possibly showing a plane hopper barge with engineers. Taken from the opposite bank looking down the channel towards the workmen and the boat. Shows a workman holding a beam of timber with part of the engine house visible on the left side of the photograph.
