Construction of the Foxton Inclined Plane
Description
Black and white photograph showing the inclined plane at an early phase of its construction. Taken at a long distance from the bottom left side of the incline, the photograph shows the concrete tracks to which steel rails were fixed. It also shows the frame of the engine house and the chimney with scaffolding around it at the top.
