Description
Box of 45 coloured slides showing photographs taken on the Grand Union Canal at Stoke Bruerne. This collection contains numerous photographs of working narrowboats on the canal. Boats shown include 'D&J Blagrove' ex GUCCC narrowboat 'Stirling'; 'EA and N Hollis' narrowboat 'Towcester'; converted narrowboat 'Serenity'; 'John James' narrowboat 'Jason'; ex GUCCC narrowboats 'Serpens' and 'Ara'; 'Village Trust' narrowboat 'Redcap'; narrowboat 'Kestrel'; two 'Samuel Barlow Coal Co' narrowboats, including 'Roger'; 'Blue Line Cruiser Limited' narrowboats and a Willow Wren boat registered at Coventry. There are also numerous photographs of unidentified narrowboats.
