Retirement Album presented 6th July 1977 to Mr Ernest Martin Eagle by the Chairman of the British Waterways Board
Description
Presented to Mr Ernest Eagle on the occasion of his retirement as Area Engineer, Nottingham. Joined the former Trent Navigation Company in 1942 as Assistant to the General Manager and Engineer. On nationalisation in 1948 he became Assistant to the Northern Divisional Engineer. Following the set up of British Waterways Board appointed as Area Engineer and held this post for 13 years.
