Information gathered for a court case brought by Robbins Lane and Pinninger for compensation owing to the poor condition of the canal. Includes information from the chief engineers, extracts from publicartions and evidence from Edgar Clarence Chapman, surveyor, as an appendix to A.S.Quartermaines proof. Collected together in 1948 but original dates are 1895-1947.
