Men celebrating the gift of a boat for the youth of Walsall by Ernest Thomas
Description
Black and white photograph showing a group of men dressed in suits and drinking at the bow of the leisure narrowboat, Walsall boat owner Ernest Thomas is present. There are industrial buildings, including warehouses, in the background. The boat was given by Ernest Thomas to three youth clubs in Wolverhampton. The boat was launched on 7 May 1953 at Old Birchills Wharf in Walsall.
