"The Boat Lift, Anderton, Cheshire"
Description
Black and white photograph showing the Anderton Boat Lift and numerous boats on the River Weaver. Taken from the side of the Trent and Mersey Canal looking down on the River Weaver, there are several unidentified narrowboats on the river, some Weaver barges and a steam powered 'Brunner'. Part of the Anderton Boat Lift can be seen on the left of the photograph, in the background several industrial buildings are visible. At the bottom of the photograph is written, "The Boat Lift, Anderton, Cheshire" and "Waterbourne Tours".
