Description
Black and white photograph showing the Grand Union Canal Company Limited butty narrowboat "Uttoxeter" (written on the back end of the boat) being strapped into a lock by 2 wartime women trainees. One of the women is on the side of the canal tieing the boat up and the other woman can be seen on the opposite side of the canal. The back of the boat and part of the cabin are visible, on the side of the cabin the number "382" is written.
