Description
Black and white photograph taken by Cyril Arapoff showing Manchester Ship Canal’s Steam Dredging Hopper ‘Beta’ performing silt clearance off No.6 Pier, Salford Docks. On the extreme left is Trafford Wharf showing a vessel discharging on No.1 Grain Elevator which was destroyed by German incendiaries during Christmas 1941.
