Barge and steam crane on the River Mersey
Description
Black and white photograph taken by Cyril Arapoff showing a Liverpool registered barge being unloaded by a railway steam crane on No.6 Pier, Salford Docks. Ahead of the barge is Manchester Ship Canal’s Steam Dredging Hopper ‘Beta’. On the extreme left a steamship discharges grain on Trafford Wharf.
