Description
Black and white photograph taken by Cyril Arapoff showing Nellie Freeth and family by the side of the canal at the Hatton lock flight. Taken from the side of the canal, there are 3 children next to a horse on the left of the photograph, a man stood next to a narrowboat on the right and several boat women and children are visible in the background. Nellie Freeth and family ran the Samuel Barlow Canal Carrying Company Limited narrowboats 'Dragonfly' and 'Caronia' which are moored on the right of the photograph.
