Samuel Barlow narrowboats at the Hatton lock flight
Description
Black and white photograph taken by Cyril Arapoff showing 2 loaded horse drawn narrowboats in a lock going up the flight of locks at Hatton. The 2 narrowboats shown are Samuel Barlow Coal Company Limited narrowboats called "Dragonfly" and "Caronia". There is a woman stood on each side of the canal and a child on the back of "Caronia", they are Nellie Freeth and family.
