Large steam boat by the Barton Swing Aqueduct
Description
Black and white photograph taken by Cyril Arapoff showing Manchester Ship Canal's steam grab hopper dredger 'Beta' passing through the 'open' Barton Swing Bridge and Aqueduct heading down the Manchester Ship Canal. The tower from which both bridge and aqueduct are swung hydraulically can be seen between the two steel structures.
