Grand Union Canal
BW192/3/1/17/2/63
"Canal Transport: A Narrowboat Near Watford, Hertfordshire"
Black and white photograph of the narrowboat 'Progress' on the Grand Union Canal at Hunton Bridge. Taken from above the canal showing the back end of the boat where there is a man stood holding the tiller. The title is written underneath the image, as well as some German which reads, "Diese wasserstrasse (gebaut im Jahre 1796) ist doch viel benutzt", [which roughly translates into "This waterway (built in 1796) is widely used"]. Above the image "Country Life, January 20, 1950" is written.
