Description
Daily accounts of a trip to Lyme Regis in April, a trip on the River Lee and River Stort in June, and a trip on the Grand Union Canal and Oxford Canal in August. This trip is documented as being the last on the original 'Lilian Maud'. This diary also records trials of the new 'Lillian Maud' which took place on the River Trent in August. Includes various items from and about places on the trip, for example postcards and newspaper cuttings. There are also miscellaneous newspaper cuttings on the assasination of Robert Kennedy and the Hertford floods. Contains 2 sketches and 4 watercolour paintings.
