Comprehensive Engineering Survey Report [for the Grand Union Canal and Kensington Canal]
Detailed survey of the waterway, including the location, description and comments on the condition of structures and topographical features, such as aqueducts, bridges, banks, cuttings, culverts, ditches, feeders, fences, hedges and walls, weirs, mining subsidence, locks, pumping stations, sluices and tunnels. Also includes width and depth of channel. Each feature is referenced with an Ordnance Survey sheet number relating to the accompanying plan volume. Includes the Grand Union Canal from junction of Slough Arm to the Thames, the Paddington Arm, Regent's Canal and Hertford Union Canal.
