Views of the three bridges at Hanwell showing the railway passing beneath the canal and barges and narrowboats passing along the canal, including a Bletchington of Blackwall barge being pulled by a horse, a loaded and sheeted Britsh Waterways motorboat with its butty 'Gretna' and a barge 'Hayesoak' with its horse and crew. Beyond the bridges steam powered piling equipment can be seen at work
