Randle family at a canal house in Exhall on the Coventry Canal
Description
Sepia photograph of canal boatman Isaac Randle stood outside the canal house along with his wife Prudence [nee Hartop] who is sat down, their youngest son Joseph [born in Exhall 1859] who is wearing a dress, and a dog. [The census returns of 1841, 1851, 1861 and 1881 give Isaac's occupation as a Canal Boatman. He died at Tunnel House in Braunston in 1885]. [Photograph deposited by Susan Mole].
