Removing a lock gate at Runcorn Locks on the Bridgweater Canal
Black and white photograph showing a lock gate being lifted out of the canal by a crane mounted on the back of a truck. The truck has "Woolfenden Liverpool" written on it. There is a steel structure going over the canal and a large house in the background. [Taken during the final stage in the demolition of Runcorn Locks, the gates were lifted out of the canal for use in the restoration of the Upper Avon Navigation.
